शीत ऋतु की हाड़कंपाती ठंड, सभी ओर बर्फ़ीली हवाओं का हुड़दंग, इस घर में किसी के पास भी नहीं हैं मोटे कपड़े ढकने को तन। इस ग़रीब किसान के घर में केवल पुआल और आग के सहारे बिता रहा है परिवार रात और दिन। बिना खीलों-खिलौनों और दियों के सूना है दीपावली-पर्व। अन्न के अभाव में ग़रीब किसान जी रहा है केवल पानी के सहारे, जबकि फल-फूल रहे हैं पूँजीपति। कैसी है यह समरसता!

The biting cold of winter season, the gust of snowy winds all around, no one of this house has thick clothes  to put on the body. In the house of this poor farmer, the family is passing its days and nights with the help of Pual and fire only. Without Kheel-Khilone and Diyas (lamps), unpleasant is the Diwali festival. Due to the scarcity of food,  the poor farmer is sustaining his life by water only, whereas the capitalists are flourishing. How is this synchronization?
